Portland recieves the highest average rainfall on the island, and is considered to have the most exuberant vegetation. This parish holds the natural Blue Lagoon, its deep viridescent to prussian blue color comprised of hot salt water and cold river water. Folly Lighthouse in Portland is Jamaica's first lighthouse, built in 1841.
